If you saw our social media last week, you may have already seen this news which was released on the Scottish Rugby website and Twitter feed. We are very proud to have expanded our relationship with the SRU now that they are using MyTPE and MyTPA, along with the multiple Nacsport licences they have. The Nacsport licences are already used throughout different levels of the game, with the analysis data they provide now also having more of an impact because it can be shared to multiple teams within MyTPE and MyTPA.

The SRU have now been able to connect all levels of the game by using the online file sharing, communication, management and analysis tools MyTPE and MyTPA. All analysts, players and coaches in the following setups are benefiting from using both MyTPE and MyTPA:

BT Premiership Teams

BT National League Division 1 Teams

BT Women’s Premier League Teams

BT Sport Academy Teams

Scotland Age Grade Teams

Scotland 7s Team

Scotland Women’s Teams

SRU Referee Department

London Scottish FC

Rugby Schools

Through using MyTPA, teams can review any timeline analysis put onto the platform from the bureau services and also upload their own match videos, so that all teams in a league can easily access videos of every week’s games. Coaches from these teams can review the analysis already created, but then create their own timeline with their own personalised analysis from using the templates they have made in MyTPA. Coaches and Players then have the ability to create playlists of key clips from the timeline/matrix, which can have notes added onto them so that everybody can watch these reviews.

These playlists are then easily shared onto the team’s MyTPE site so that everybody can watch and comment around the playlist. Once in MyTPE, the teams also have the benefits of viewing and sharing other files, using a calendar, questionnaires, messages and all of the other powerful features in MyTPE.

Rob Holdsworth (Lead Performance Analyst at Scottish Rugby) had this to say about the complete solution:

Every player and coach involved with any of these teams will be able to access their game footage on this new platform, do their own analysis, build reviews of their own game and preview their opposition.
With self-analysis being so readily available, it will help encourage players to be more self-reliant, proactive and accountable for their own development.
It will also provide a central location for all pro-team and international coaches to view the top performers in the country across all positions and levels of the game in Scotland at the touch of a button.

The teams have been using MyTPE and MyTPA since August, so they could all get up and running before the start of the season. To help speed up that process, I delivered a training evening at Murrayfield on MyTPE and MyTPA to the key users from each of these teams. We received great feedback about the new platform and have continued to do so when the new updates and versions of MyTPE and MyTPA were released too. As these teams were moving over to us from another online tool, it's great to hear how the users have enjoyed the additional workflows they can carry out with our tools.

We’re very happy to be working even closer with Rob and everybody at the SRU thanks to this new agreement and look forward to seeing things continue to develop and expand!
