Friday is here, and so is an announcement of new Nacsport users and Nacsport renewals from our existing users in Schools and Colleges around the UK. We have a new School and a new College joining our ever-expanding community of education based Nacsport users, a School and a College renewing their existing licences and also a College expanding the amount of Nacsport licences they have too. So let me start by welcoming our two newest users.
Kings School Bruton, a.k.a Kings Bruton, have chosen a Nacsport Basic licence to carry out video analysis workflows within their Hockey programme. Henry Eriksson, who is the Director of Hockey at the School, approached me after his Girls' 1st XI had played a pre-season game against Cardiff Met.
There, Henry was exposed to the Nacsport video analysis software again through Joe Holmes, who carries out the analysis for Cardiff Met Hockey, so he got in touch to discuss more about it and to see how it could help to develop the Hockey programme at the school, which Henry mentioned has been going from strength to strength in recent years. So it's great that after being exposed to Nacsport and then talking through with us to determine what version will suit the school's current needs, we can now count on Henry and Kings Bruton as one of our new Nacsport users. Even better for us is to see how Nacsport is valued as a key component of the Hockey provisions provided by the programme that Henry runs! Check out this page on the school website to see what I mean.
We would also like to welcome St Lawrence College as a new user, as they have chosen a Nacsport Basic Plus licence to use within their Hockey programme. Whilst getting off a busy train in Cardiff, I was called up by legendary Hockey player Kwan Browne (who got his 300th cap for Trinidad and Tobago in March this year) who wanted to get a Nacsport licence as soon as possible to use in his new role at St Lawrence College.
Kwan has been exposed to video analysis through his hugely impressive Hockey career (currently coaching and playing at Canterbury Hockey Club in England, assistant coach for England U21 Men and England Senior Men Development Squad assistant coach), so it's really humbling that he made direct contact and wanted to get the Nacsport software straight away.
I would like to say thanks to both Henry and Kwan for choosing the Nacsport video analysis software and we wish both Kings Bruton and St Lawrence College the best of luck in their Hockey programmes!
Following on, I would like to say thanks to Portsmouth Grammar School (PGS) for choosing another Scout Plus licence to use within their school sport analysis workflows (they previously got 2 Scout Plus licences). Dave Lyons, Head of Rugby, will use the new licence to provide video and statistical feedback to the PGS rugby teams. I met Dave back at the end of September when I was delivering a Nacsport training day to himself and also Chris Dosset (Director of Sport) and Sam Lavery (resident Cricket Professional and Head of Cricket Academy).
Both Chris and Sam have been using the Nacsport software with their Cricket and Rugby teams, so the day was spent reviewing and maximising their current workflows, showcasing the new Nacsport features to all three, then developing individualised workflows and processes that they can use and develop further to meet their ever adapting requirements. It was a really enjoyable training day and a great chance to catch up with Chris and Sam and meet other staff at the school like Dave, so I would again like to say thanks for that and thanks for the school's continued trust in ourselves and Nacsport.
Finally, I would also like to thank Bristol Grammar School and Neath College for recently renewing their Nacsport technical support and update service contracts. Bristol Grammar School previously chose 3 Nacsport Basic licences to analyse sporting activities throughout the school, so we're really pleased that they have continued to renew their Nacsport Basic licences for another year. We recently visited the school to discuss other video analysis expansions and provisions that can be put in place, so we look forward to keeping you up to date with those developments.
Last but certainly not least, we would like to say a big thanks to Neath Port Talbot College group for also getting all of their 7 Basic Plus licences up to date with the Nacsport technical support and update service. We visited Barry Roberts and his colleagues at the start of September to provide a refresher on the Nacsport software which will be used across more sports and on a more regular basis now, so we can't wait to see how things progress at the College.
Once again, thanks to our new and existing users mentioned above. We're really glad to have you as part of our growing community and we hope that you all have a successful school year!
